ANANTA Gameplay Trailer
A seven-minute trailer released for Tokyo Game Show 2025. The Captain and Taffy arrive to find their workplace closed, then the video runs through Nova City life, gang brawls, police work as Richie, hacking, shopping, a monster in the fog and a swinging job with Taffy on the phone. NetEase’s text promises roles such as the department head, a well-to-do elite and a hacker, with missions from the NCCA, DK9 and Cat Express.
Scene descriptions cover only what’s on screen. Editorial conclusions are labeled as assumptions. The breakdown was checked against the video on October 27, 2026.

Closed on arrival
Chapter Strange city arrivals. The Captain and Taffy stand outside a building with the sign SHANNON and the Chinese word for dairy, workers in yellow uniforms by the door. In the subtitles they complain that they have only just arrived, the place is already closed, and they still haven’t been paid. The Captain rubs his chin.
Editorial assumption. This is the setup from the official description: the employer goes under right after the Captain reports for duty. In the 2026 trailer the same building comes right before he asks if the ACD has gone belly up.

Driving around the city

Everyday life and selfies
A lantern-lit food alley at night. At home the Captain in a grey jacket watches Taffy kick high in the kitchen. He photographs a building site with cranes and a red Ferris wheel. Through a phone camera he takes selfies under a graffiti-covered overpass and in a park with cherry blossoms. A motorcyclist rides along an overgrown railway among cherry trees.

The red-masked gang
A building cracks and tilts as debris flies past a crane. Men in spiked red masks and leather jackets block a street. A young man fights two of them inside a container hung with chains and tires, with METAL graffiti on the wall.
Editorial assumption. The spiked red masks belong to the Black Metal Crew: the subtitles of the 2025 gameplay video name the gang members who look like this.

Who is the ACD?
Chapter Finding motivation. The Captain in a brown jacket frowns at his phone. A DAILY NEWS broadcast runs over an aerial shot of a crossroads with burning cars and a wrecked fire truck next to a SATURN building, under the headline “ACD claims flying train incident resolved. Nova citizens ask, ‘Who is the ACD?’”. A blue robot runs riot outside a TAKE:Q shop by a yellow taxi.
Editorial assumption. The flying train links to the 2024 teaser and announce trailer, where a train snakes through the sky. The SATURN sign probably stands for Saturn Entertainment, a Nova City company from the official site.

Masked robbers
In a subway passage a robber in a robot mask, named Masked Malice Robber in the subtitles, promises the show will start with a bang. Robbers in vests with smiley faces hold people in a luxurious lobby. A young man in a yellow hoodie with HOT on the back jumps down from a gallery and fights them across a marble hall.

A badminton racket
On a dusty lot under a GLAM-SPORT GO! billboard a man in a purple suit knocks out thugs with a badminton racket.

Every weapon goes
A fighter swings a giant golden hammer at men in suits with CCTV cameras for heads. Two characters stand on top of a tower crane over the sea. A rocket launcher blast lights up a street. A girl carries a heavy machine across a crossing littered with debris. A flamethrower roars on a square, a fight breaks out on a rooftop, and someone opens fire on a man in a red suit.
Editorial assumption. Each fighter has a different weapon and style, which fits the switching between team members: every member fights in their own way.

Chapter A huge challenge. Two young men cover their ears as an armored machine flies past a tower behind them; one complains his eardrums are about to pop.

In the NCCA garage
The Captain talks with a woman with lavender hair and fox ears in an underground garage marked B1 and NCCA; she asks if he is sure he wants to do this. A figure sneaks toward a large vent fan, and the subtitle reads “Chenxiu: Approaching the target.”
Editorial assumption. In the 2025 gameplay video the subtitles name the fox-eared woman Lykaia, Director of the Nova City Crime Agency. Chenxiu is the name the subtitles give the Captain in this build.

Stakeout

A huge mosquito
The Captain in a striped shirt walks through fog past a woman and a car’s headlights and remarks on a huge mosquito. A giant winged shape looms over a jammed street with red lights and roars. Taffy, in a white T-shirt, looks worried. At a noodle bar the Captain asks if she wants him to take that thing on.
Editorial assumption. The official description of the gameplay video has a monster over a traffic jam: a Maniac Chaos causes a jam, and dealing with it makes the Captain famous online.

The team wheel and the map
A dark-haired young man stands outside the CITRUS GROVE café, and a round menu with character portraits opens on screen. The camera rises into an overhead view of the city with cherry trees and an elevated railway. A pink-haired woman drives a blue convertible with a cracked windshield, then a convertible heads down an avenue at sunset.
Editorial assumption. The wheel of portraits looks like the menu for switching between team members, and the pink-haired driver is Richie, who takes over in the next scene.

Richie checks papers
Chapter Intense combat. Richie stops a woman in a black dress on a night street. A menu in Chinese offers an order, an ID check, a search, alcohol and drug tests, a ticket, arrest or release, and a record shows the woman’s name and job as unknown. The subtitle has Richie tell her she is coming along. Richie runs through a park with another officer, and on a highway Mimiko and Ringo call for help.
Editorial assumption. This is the police role from the TGS 2025 demo: GamesRadar wrote that the playable officer can check any citizen for open warrants. MIMIKO is also the channel name in the livestream from the 2024 announce trailer.

Infiltration
A hooded figure in a long black-and-white coat walks into a party with a screen reading WE’RE EXCITED TO HAVE YOU! A spider-like robot crawls through a vent, with the prompts Switch Control and Recall. Taffy browses a comic shop. Men in black suits hold a man in a patterned shirt at gunpoint in a lounge with red sofas; the white facade of the building; the lounge seen through a crosshair.
Editorial assumption. The spider robot in the vent also appears in the official Seymour gallery, so this is probably the hacker’s role.

The hacker and the Captain

Editorial assumption. The cartoon mask is Seymour’s, so the hacker is working with the Captain here.

Chapter Mission update. The Captain sits on top of a crane and says it’s a good thing he can fly. The ANANTA logo on black, then a dark screen and a voice in the subtitles asking if Cap is there.

Swinging to the target
A man in a yellow T-shirt and blue overalls swings on a line between skyscrapers, falls and catches the next building, while Taffy’s avatar and a call timer sit in the corner. In the subtitles Chenxiu jokes back, and Taffy reports that she found them on the sixth floor, in the middle room facing south. She says she is done playing the delivery guy next time and is only venting about a roasting she got today.
Editorial assumption. Taffy calls him Cap and the subtitles label him Chenxiu, so this is the Captain in a window cleaner’s outfit.
