Project Mugen PV: Tomorrow and Surprises Come Together
The reveal trailer from the Project Mugen era, first shown at Gamescom 2023 and uploaded to the ANANTA channel on November 28, 2024. In-game shots of the city lead into an anime story about a Chaos that makes fantasies real, a white-haired woman calling down meteors and a team that refuses to give up. Several characters from it are no longer on the official site.

Interesting developments
A pink-haired girl with star-shaped pupils, a cap and big headphones leans into the camera and says things are about to get interesting. The Naked Rain logo appears over splashes of yellow and purple paint.

In-game footage
Shots marked In-game footage: a neon street at night with a dog and passers-by, a station platform at sunset with a red train, a beach where a white-haired girl with rabbit ears walks among sunbathers, a figure flying past a tower at sunset, and a sunlit wall of windows.
Editorial assumption. The rabbit-eared girl looks like Taffy, who has been in the cast since Project Mugen.

Talking graffiti
A dark-haired young man stands on scaffolding with a CAUTION sign. Then he and the pink-haired girl stand by a huge, colorful mural; someone scoffs that graffiti can’t possibly talk.

Missing people and Chaos
A flooded street with a lone phone booth, then a flooded subway station with a giant creature and a girl lying on the tracks; a voice is sure that the missing persons case is connected to Chaos. A tower crowned with glowing rings rises over the night city. Rainy streets at night with cars and a motorcyclist. According to the subtitles, the principle is that people’s fantasies become real, and the world is getting messed up.
Editorial assumption. This is the premise NetEase still uses: Chaos anomalies born from people’s imagination.

Cinema, concert, selfie
A dozen characters sit in red cinema seats eating popcorn. A crowd waves orange glowsticks at a concert. Through a camera screen marked REC, the pink-haired girl and a blue-haired girl with a cowbell take a selfie.

Sparkler and fireworks
A woman with long silver hair holds a sparkler against city lights while the subtitle speaks of seeing the end of this journey and names Dila. Fireworks burst over the city while two figures watch from a rooftop.
Editorial assumption. Dila is one of the Project Mugen characters whose profiles were removed from the official site in September 2025; the silver-haired woman is probably her.

M-Cineres Chaos
A pile of old TVs flashes WARNING, and the subtitle reports that M-Cineres Chaos has been detected. Subway cars buckle in the air. The silver-haired woman, her arms glowing, rises over the night city and promises to bring down meteors so wishes come true more easily; someone objects that giants and meteors will ruin the city.

The real villains
A hooded figure presses a hand into a glowing portal. A giant creature with a halo hangs between skyscrapers while people look up, and a huge glowing foot stomps a street. Voices accuse the heroes of being the real villains who destroyed the city and invite them to enjoy the finale, then laugh. A close-up of a glowing eye and a glitching screen.

Too early to give up
The white-haired girl with rabbit ears hangs upside down under a station canopy and concludes they are probably screwed. Over black, another voice answers that it’s too early to give up.

The team fights back
A combat montage on rooftops and streets: a runner on a sunset roof, a black-haired girl with a blade, the pink-haired girl firing a giant water gun, fights around motorbikes, the rabbit-eared girl swinging a round hammer with a cartoon face, an electric dash past a car, and a girl in red with a bat amid flames. A walking robot swings a hammer surrounded by lightning.
Editorial assumption. The round hammer matches producer Ash Qi’s 2023 description of Taffy’s weapon, which doubles as a vehicle.

The final blow
The rabbit-eared girl and the pink-haired girl ride a motorbike past neon signs. The dark-haired young man kicks through the air in a blue aura, a masked figure in a hood crackles with lightning, and a giant fist covered in glowing marks smashes down.
