Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 28, 2026

This Policy explains what data may be processed when you use the Ananta Hub website (the “Site”), why this happens, and what choices are available to you.

Ananta Hub is an unofficial informational fan site about the game Ananta. It is not affiliated with NetEase Games, Naked Rain, Rockstar Games, or Take-Two Interactive. The Site does not offer reader registration, reader accounts, comments, paid features, or forms that ask for your name or contact details. The only form, for suggesting corrections, is described in section 2.4.

The Site currently uses no web analytics or advertising and sets no analytics or advertising cookies. If that changes, this Policy will be updated before any such service is enabled, and analytics will be turned on only with your consent.

1. Who is responsible for the data

The Ananta Hub website administration is responsible for operating the Site and for the processing described below.

For privacy questions, write to the contact email listed on the About page.

2. Data that may be processed

2.1. Technical data

When you open the Site, the web server, the Site application, and the hosting provider may automatically process technical request data, including:

  • your IP address;
  • the date and time of the request;
  • the URL requested;
  • the referring page, if your browser provides it;
  • browser type and version, operating system, and device type;
  • server response codes and technical error information.

This data is needed to deliver the requested page, keep the Site stable, diagnose errors, and protect it from abuse and attacks. Some of it (IP address, request time, URL, and browser information) may be written to the server's technical logs; section 5 explains how long they are kept.

The Site serves its fonts and images from its own server, not from third-party services.

2.2. Browser preferences and cookies

The Site stores interface preferences in your browser's local storage (localStorage):

  • spoiler-hiding mode;
  • your selected gaming platform;
  • whether you dismissed the suggestion to switch to the other language version of a page;
  • map layer settings and your personal map pins;
  • “found” and “completed” marks on the map, in checklists, and in guides;
  • your daily puzzle progress.

This data stays in your browser and is not sent to the server. It exists only for convenience and is not used to create an account or visitor profile.

The Site sets no cookies for ordinary visitors. Only editorial staff receive a sign-in cookie, when they log in to the Site's admin panel. See the Cookie Policy for details.

2.3. Emails you send us

If you choose to email us at the address on the About page, we process the sender address, the contents of the message, and any other information you decide to provide. We use it only to reply, resolve the issue raised, and, where necessary, protect legal rights.

Please do not send identity documents, payment information, or other sensitive data unless it is genuinely necessary to resolve your request.

2.4. Correction suggestions

The Site may offer a form for reporting an error, an outdated statement or a missing source. The form does not ask for your name, email address or any other contact details. A suggestion contains:

  • the type of problem and the fact, database entry or map marker it concerns;
  • the page and language version of the Site where you opened the form;
  • a source link and a video timecode, if you add them;
  • the text you write, and the date and time of submission.

Please do not include personal data in the text. Suggestions are read only by the Site's editors and are never published. Your IP address is used briefly in the server's memory to limit repeated submissions; it is not stored with the suggestion or written to a file. The form does not set cookies.

Data is processed only to:

  • deliver the Site and its features;
  • maintain security and stability and fix errors;
  • respond to an email you voluntarily send;
  • review correction suggestions and keep the Site accurate;
  • comply with legal obligations and protect legal rights where necessary.

Depending on the situation and applicable law, processing is based on the necessity of operating and protecting the Site, your voluntary request, or a legal obligation.

4. Who may receive data

The following service providers may process data only to the extent necessary to operate the Site:

  • the hosting provider Beget: the Site's server is located in Russia;
  • the email provider, if you send us a message;
  • YouTube/Google, if you play an embedded video or visit the relevant external service.

External websites and services apply their own privacy rules.

Ananta Hub does not sell personal data or disclose it to others for advertising.

If you visit from outside Russia, your request data is processed on the Site's server in Russia. Other providers may process data in other countries; please review each provider's terms and privacy notice for details.

5. Retention

  • The server's technical logs are kept for a limited time and deleted automatically, unless the law requires a longer period. The hosting provider may keep its own network records under its own rules.
  • Browser preferences remain until you change them, clear browser data, or the relevant Site feature is removed.
  • Correspondence is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to answer and resolve the request, and afterwards only where there is a lawful need to keep it.
  • Correction suggestions are deleted six months after an editor reviews them.

6. Managing data and cookies

You can:

  • delete cookies and site data in your browser settings;
  • block cookies or browser storage.

If you block local storage, the Site will no longer remember your interface preferences and marks. There is currently nothing on the Site to consent to or withdraw: no analytics or advertising is used.

7. Your rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have the right to request:

  • access to information about data relating to you;
  • correction of inaccurate data;
  • deletion, blocking, or restriction of processing;
  • an end to processing based on consent;
  • a copy of data you provided, where data portability applies;
  • consideration of an objection to processing.

Send requests to the contact email on the About page. To avoid disclosing data to the wrong person, we may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify that the request relates to you.

You may also lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection authority or seek a judicial remedy if you believe your rights have been infringed.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no internet transmission or storage method can guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

The Site is intended for a general audience and does not ask visitors for their age. We do not knowingly collect children’s data through accounts or forms. If you believe a child has provided personal data to Ananta Hub, write to the contact email on the About page.

Site materials link to the official Ananta website, NetEase Games, YouTube, and other external resources. Their own privacy rules apply when you visit them.

Where embedded YouTube videos are used, they load only after you press play and use privacy-enhanced mode through youtube-nocookie.com. YouTube advertising cookies should not be set before playback; once you start the player, YouTube/Google may process technical data and set its own cookies.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy when Site features, service providers, or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page and the date at the top will be revised.

12. Contact

Questions about privacy and data processing: the contact email on the About page.
