This page explains how the Ananta Hub website (the “Site”) uses cookies and similar technologies, including browser local storage.
In short: the Site sets no cookies for ordinary visitors. It uses no web analytics or advertising. Interface preferences are stored only in your browser.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small pieces of data stored in your browser by a website or external service. Session cookies are removed after you close the browser; persistent cookies remain until their set expiry date or until you delete them.
Browser local storage (localStorage) serves a similar purpose by remembering settings in a particular browser. Neither cookies nor local storage gives the Site access to files on your device.
2. What the Site uses
| Category | Purpose | When enabled | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
Sign-in cookie payload-token (strictly necessary) | Lets editorial staff log in to the Site's admin panel | Only for editorial staff, after they log in | Until they log out or the session expires |
Interface preferences (localStorage) | Spoiler hiding, gaming platform, map, marks, and progress (section 3) | When you change the relevant setting | Until you change the setting or clear browser data |
| YouTube | Operates an embedded video player | When you press play on an embedded video | Under YouTube/Google rules |
The Site has no reader registration. The correction suggestion form does not set cookies.
3. Browser preferences
The Site stores the following in your browser's local storage:
- spoiler-hiding mode;
- your selected gaming platform;
- whether you dismissed the suggestion to switch to the other language version of a page;
- map layer settings and your personal map pins;
- “found” and “completed” marks on the map, in checklists, and in guides;
- your daily puzzle progress.
This data stays in your browser, is not sent to the server, and is not used to track visitors.
4. Analytics and advertising
The Site currently uses no web analytics or advertising and sets no analytics or advertising cookies, so no cookie banner is shown. If that changes, this Policy will be updated before any such service is enabled, and analytics will be turned on only with your consent.
5. YouTube and external sites
Where embedded videos are used, they load only after you press play and are configured through youtube-nocookie.com. YouTube advertising cookies should not be set before playback. Once you start the player, YouTube/Google may receive technical data and store its own cookies under its policies.
If you follow an external link, the destination site may set its own cookies, which the Site does not control.
6. How to delete Site data
The Site has no optional cookies to turn on or off, so there are no cookie settings to manage. You can delete stored data in your browser:
- open the site settings (usually through the icon to the left of the address bar) or your browser's privacy settings and delete cookies and site data for this site;
- if you wish, block cookies or local storage for all sites.
After clearing, the Site forgets your spoiler, platform, and map settings, personal pins, marks, and puzzle progress. If you block all local storage, the Site cannot remember them.
7. Changes
We may update this Policy when Site features or service providers change. The current version will always be posted on this page.
