Martial arts combat

Combat in ANANTA draws on martial arts and action films: dodges, blocks and counters, enemy weapons you can grab, and street props like golf clubs and trash bins. Every character can also pull objects with telekinesis.

What we know

NetEase’s 2025 press release describes environmental combat inspired by action movies. Game Informer adds that combat is based on real martial arts, including Shaolin kung fu, and that you can seek out masters to learn techniques.

GamesRadar compares the timing to Batman: Arkham Asylum and reports that all playable characters use telekinesis. In 2023 the team described battles with a team of four and a shared special ability; whether that system remains is an open question.
