Captain

The Captain is the main character of ANANTA and the new captain of the ACD, a task force that is falling apart. The hero comes from Chongxiao, arrives in Nova City and has to rebuild the team while becoming famous online. Male and female versions are confirmed for launch.

What we know

NetEase introduces the Captain as the luckless head of the ACD task force. In the official description of the 2025 gameplay video, the newcomer’s employer goes under right after the first day on the job, and a fight with a Maniac Chaos that jams city traffic makes the Captain an overnight internet sensation.

The Steam page calls Chongxiao the hero’s home, one plane ticket away from Nova City. Game Informer, summing up NetEase’s August 2026 materials, lists two goals: rebuild the ACD and find the Captain’s missing father.

Fame is the Captain’s main tool. Missions, bounties and small favors for citizens grow a following, and a bigger following unlocks missions and influencer perks.

NetEase’s English texts call the Captain “he”, but at Gamescom 2026 the team confirmed a female version for launch: Tian Yu told GAME Watch it is still being polished, and Link and Rain told Pocket Tactics the game offers both. NetEase also promises basic options for looks and physique. A choice of name hasn’t been announced.
