How popular is ANANTA before launch: pre-registrations, wishlists and views

ANANTA had 25,889,549 global pre-registrations on NetEase’s official counter at 02:30 UTC on October 29, 2026 (fact in the registry). The same morning TapTap listed 3,856,228 reservations in China, Steam’s Top Wishlists list put the game 95th among unreleased titles, and the Launch Date Trailer had 10,893,256 views on the official YouTube channel.

Some numbers aren’t public at all: stores don’t publish wishlist or pre-order counts, and NetEase doesn’t publish a follower total. What the milestones unlock is in ANANTA pre-registration rewards.

How many people have pre-registered for ANANTA?

The counter on the official site showed 25,889,549 sign-ups at 02:30 UTC on October 29, 2026. That is past three of the five milestones NetEase set; the next rewards unlock at 30 and 35 million (fact in the registry). How the count grew:

• December 2024: more than 8.43 million worldwide, according to the company, as TechNode reported when ANANTA received its Chinese publishing license.
• August 25, 2026: more than 17 million from 110 countries and regions, per NetEase’s Gamescom press release.
• October 27, 2026: 25,834,915 on the official counter.
• October 28, 2026, 08:55 UTC: 25,866,081.
• October 29, 2026, 02:30 UTC: 25,889,549.

Our assessment: sign-ups have slowed. Between August 25 and October 27 the counter grew by more than 130,000 a day on average; between our readings on October 28 and 29 it added 23,468 in about 17.5 hours, roughly 32,000 a day. At that rate the count would be near 28.4 million on January 15, short of the 30 million milestone, unless sign-ups speed up before launch. Our earlier estimate of 30 million by late November no longer holds.

NetEase hasn’t said whether one person signing up on several platforms counts once, or whether store pre-orders and wishlists feed the counter. The 17 million figure from August is marked outdated in our registry.

How popular is ANANTA in China?

On TapTap, where the Chinese version, 无限大, has its official page, 3,856,228 people had reserved ANANTA and 3,874,793 followed it at 02:30 UTC on October 29, 2026. The page showed a rating of 8.3 out of 10 from 9,480 reviews and 8th place on TapTap’s reservations chart.

The chart doesn’t rank games by total reservations: in its own data each of the seven games above ANANTA had fewer, and the page doesn’t explain the order. Our check of the same page on October 28 showed 3.85 million. These are TapTap’s counts for the Chinese version, which comes out on January 15 like the rest of the world (fact in the registry); NetEase hasn’t said whether they are part of the global counter. Where does ANANTA rank on Steam wishlists?

ANANTA was 95th on Steam’s Top Wishlists list of games that aren’t out yet when we checked the US store without signing in, at 02:18 UTC on October 29, 2026. The list had 5,485 games in it.

Steam shows only the position: store pages carry no wishlist counts, the search page doesn’t say how the list is ordered, and NetEase hasn’t released a wishlist number. The PlayStation Store has a wishlist but no public count, the App Store doesn’t show how many people pre-ordered, and on October 29 the Google Play page showed no pre-registration figure.

Our assessment: the rank reflects Steam users only. On PC ANANTA is also available through NetEase’s own client (fact in the registry), and the global counter doesn’t break sign-ups down by platform.

How many views do ANANTA trailers have?

The Launch Date Trailer is the most watched video on the official ANANTA channel on YouTube, with 10,893,256 views on October 29, 2026, more than the six other videos on the channel combined. Views on each video page that day:

How many social media followers does ANANTA have?

NetEase doesn’t publish a total. The official site sets a goal of 7,000,000 social media followers for one reward, the Car Paint Selector, but shows no current count and doesn’t say which accounts count toward it or whether the goal has been reached (fact in the registry).

Is ANANTA nominated for a Golden Joystick Award?

Yes. ANANTA is one of 20 nominees for Most Wanted Game at the Golden Joystick Awards 2026, according to the nominations GamesRadar+ published on September 25, 2026 (fact in the registry). The other nominees include The Witcher 4, Fable, Persona 6 and Kingdom Hearts IV.

The official @Ananta_EN account announced the nomination on September 27 and asked fans to vote at goldenjoysticks.com. Voting in most categories ran until October 23, GamesRadar+ wrote, and the winners will be announced at the ceremony in London on November 11 (timeline).

Which ANANTA numbers aren’t public?

• Wishlist counts on Steam and the PlayStation Store.
• Pre-order and pre-registration counts in the App Store and Google Play.
• How many different people are behind the sign-ups, and how they split by platform and region.
• The combined follower count of the official accounts.
• Figures from Chinese video platforms such as Bilibili, which this article doesn’t cover.
