Step 1. Pick your platform
ANANTA is on PC (Steam and NetEase’s own client), PS5, iOS and Android. There is no Xbox version (fact in the registry). Cross-play and shared progress between platforms haven’t been explained, so if you plan to play with friends, agree on one platform for now. The differences between versions are in ANANTA platforms.
Step 2. On PC, choose Steam or NetEase’s client
NetEase hasn’t said how its own client will differ from the Steam version. Our assessment: if you aren’t sure, Steam currently has the more detailed public page, with the requirements block, the language list and the store categories in one place.
Step 3. Set up your accounts
You will need the account for your store: Steam, a PlayStation Network account on PS5, an Apple Account on iPhone and iPad, or a Google account on Android. Whether ANANTA also requires a separate NetEase account hasn’t been announced. NetEase hasn’t published a list of countries where the game is available either (open question), so check the store page from your own account closer to launch.
Step 4. Free up storage space
NetEase hasn’t announced the download size (open question). The US App Store lists about 1.3 GB, but mobile games of this kind usually download most of their data after the first launch. An unconfirmed PC spec sheet gives 40 GB minimum and 100 GB recommended, and a fan wiki mentions a 46 GB build from a reported test in China. Our advice: don’t plan around these numbers; check the store page once the size appears there.
Step 5. PC: check your graphics card and driver
The PC version supports DLSS 4.5 and ray tracing (fact in the registry). According to NVIDIA, DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution works on any GeForce RTX card, Dynamic Multi Frame Generation needs an RTX 50 series card, and all features need GeForce Game Ready Driver 595.97 or newer. NetEase hasn’t mentioned AMD FSR or Intel XeSS. Requirements are still TBD on Steam; details in ANANTA and DLSS 4.5, and in ANANTA PC system requirements.
Step 6. PS5: plan for online play
The PlayStation Store page says online play is required (fact in the registry). Whether PlayStation Plus is needed hasn’t been announced. The game carries a PS5 Pro Enhanced label, though NetEase hasn’t said what the Pro version improves.
Step 7. Launch day: what isn’t announced yet
NetEase hasn’t announced the unlock time (fact in the registry). Store pages show placeholder values that disagree: 10:00 UTC in the PlayStation Store and 08:00 UTC in the App Store. A pre-download date hasn’t been announced either. Our release page will show the time once NetEase publishes it.
Step 8. Follow the official channels

- On iPhone, pre-order now and turn on automatic downloads so the app installs on launch day.
