The PC version of ANANTA will support NVIDIA DLSS 4.5. NetEase announced on August 27, 2026 that the game moves from DLSS 4 to DLSS 4.5, with Super Resolution and Dynamic Multi Frame Generation in a ray-traced world (fact in the registry). NetEase didn’t list GPU requirements, so below we match its announcement against NVIDIA’s own pages.
From DLSS 4 to DLSS 4.5
NVIDIA first listed ANANTA on September 23, 2025, among games launching with DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation and ray-traced effects; its video showed ray-traced reflections. The same NVIDIA post invited Tokyo Game Show visitors to its booth to play ANANTA. Eleven months later NetEase’s own news post announced the upgrade to DLSS 4.5 and promised higher frame rates with better image quality, without giving numbers.
What is DLSS 4.5?
NVIDIA introduced DLSS 4.5 at CES on January 6, 2026, in two parts:
- Super Resolution with a second-generation transformer model: the upscaler that renders the game at a lower resolution and reconstructs a sharper image.
- Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, which changes the frame generation multiplier on the fly, and a 6X mode that generates up to five frames for each rendered one.
NVIDIA released the frame generation part on March 31, 2026 through an NVIDIA app update. Its post says GeForce Game Ready Driver 595.97 or newer is needed to use all features. NVIDIA also lets GeForce RTX owners switch older games to the DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution model through the NVIDIA app; according to NetEase, ANANTA will support DLSS 4.5 itself.
ANANTA and DLSS, step by step
- September 23, 2025: NVIDIA lists ANANTA with DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation and ray-traced effects.
- September 25 to 28, 2025: the first public ANANTA demo runs at the NVIDIA booth at Tokyo Game Show (fact in the registry).
- January 6, 2026: NVIDIA introduces DLSS 4.5 at CES.
- March 31, 2026: Dynamic Multi Frame Generation and the 6X mode become available.
- August 27, 2026: NetEase announces that ANANTA moves to DLSS 4.5.
- January 15, 2027: ANANTA launches on PC, PS5, iOS and Android.
Which GeForce cards get what?
NetEase hasn’t published a card list for ANANTA, so this follows NVIDIA’s general rules for DLSS 4.5:
- GeForce RTX 50 series: everything, including Dynamic Multi Frame Generation and the 6X mode.
- GeForce RTX 20, 30 and 40 series: DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution. NVIDIA notes that RTX 20 and 30 cards lack native FP8 support, so the new model costs them more performance, and their owners may prefer the DLSS 4 model.
- GTX cards and graphics cards from AMD and Intel: no DLSS. NetEase hasn’t mentioned AMD FSR or Intel XeSS for ANANTA.
How each mode will look and perform in ANANTA specifically is unknown until launch; NetEase hasn’t released benchmarks or frame rate targets.
Ray tracing
NetEase describes ANANTA’s world as ray-traced, and NVIDIA’s 2025 video showed ray-traced reflections. Which other ray-traced effects are included, and whether they can be switched off, NetEase hasn’t said. The PC requirements are still TBD on Steam (fact in the registry); the unconfirmed spec sheet circulating online is covered in ANANTA PC system requirements.
And on consoles?
DLSS is an NVIDIA technology for PCs, so it doesn’t apply to PS5. The PlayStation Store lists ANANTA as PS5 Pro Enhanced, but NetEase hasn’t said what the Pro version improves (fact in the registry). For a comparison of versions, see ANANTA platforms.
What to check before launch
- Which GeForce series your card belongs to, if you plan to use DLSS.
- Your driver version: NVIDIA lists 595.97 or newer for all DLSS 4.5 features.
- The Steam page, where the requirements should appear; our launch checklist has a PC section.
