NetEase and Naked Rain plan to support ANANTA for at least seven years after its January 15, 2027 launch. The game’s publishing and marketing leads gave the figure to Insider Gaming at Gamescom 2026, in an article published on September 4 (fact in the registry).

How much content is there?

At least 100 hours across the main story, open-world exploration and side activities, the same leads told Insider Gaming. A NetEase representative gave AUTOMATON a similar answer on September 14: map size is hard to put in numbers, but players who want to can spend more than 100 hours exploring (fact in the registry).

Retellings that mention 100 hours per city or a roadmap to 2034 misread the interviews. Both sources speak about the game as a whole, and 2034 is Insider Gaming’s own arithmetic for seven years after launch.

What updates will bring

  • New quests, characters and maps on a regular basis, according to Insider Gaming.
  • New characters with free story updates, not gacha: producer Ash Qi described the roster growing with the story (fact in the registry).
  • More cities and districts over time, some inspired by Europe and America, without names or dates yet (fact in the registry).

Why there is no public beta

Tian Yu of the development team told GAME Watch on August 28 that ANANTA has had confidential tests but no global beta: the game is built around characters and story, and many tests would wear down the sense of discovery. Future plans will be announced officially (fact in the registry). Every reported test is in our article about the ANANTA beta.

How the game makes money

ANANTA is free to play, and characters aren’t sold through gacha. Tian Yu told GAME Watch that money comes from skins and cosmetics that don’t affect progression or fairness (is ANANTA free to play). Insider Gaming adds that plans like the seven-year one can change.
