What to do in ANANTA: mini-games, jobs and city activities

Between missions, ANANTA’s cities offer street racing, fight clubs, arcades, mahjong parlors, gyms, boats, cats to pet and village fair games. NetEase’s 2026 press release names arcades, mahjong parlors and gyms, and the Gamescom 2026 demo added ring toss, a shooting gallery and tea roasting, according to Famitsu.

Nova City: racing, fights and nightlife

• Street racing at 3 a.m., as the Steam page puts it, in the Veluxity Zone.
• Fight clubs in the same district.
• Arcades, mahjong parlors and gyms with their own mini-games. GamesRadar described gym and basketball games in the Tokyo Game Show 2025 demo.
• Cafes and restaurants, plus nightlife and live shows.
• Petting cats, which the 2025 press release lists among the small things to do.

Chongxiao: a village fair and tea

At Gamescom 2026 the press played as Wei Yinglong in a village in the green countryside of Chongxiao. Famitsu’s preview lists ring toss and a shooting gallery at the fair stalls, roasting Chinese tea by hand and driving a three-wheeled cargo truck. Wccftech adds tour boats, bicycles, e-scooters and skateboards to Chongxiao’s ways of getting around.

On Weilan Lake, modeled on Hangzhou’s West Lake, you can go boating, Link and Rain told Pocket Tactics (boating on Weilan Lake).

Jobs and roles

Each playable character has a job that shapes what you do. NetEase lists an NCCA officer, a hacker, a delivery rider and a content creator among the roles. Deliveries are Taffy’s line of work, and Richie, a police officer, can check citizens for warrants.

Hidden kung fu masters

Some martial arts masters live among ordinary citizens, Wccftech reported from NetEase’s Gamescom 2026 briefing: one plays with a yo-yo, another works as a neighborhood masseuse. Finding them gives the hero new abilities, weapons and allies (fact in the registry). One teacher is already known by name: Tie Shan, a martial arts mentor from Longqi Village.

Fame from everyday things

Side activities feed ANANTA’s main progression. Followers come from the story, from helping citizens during random crises, from challenges and bounties and from livestreaming, and a bigger audience unlocks more chapters, side quests, mechanics and companions, Wccftech reports (fame and influence). The phone lets you take selfies and peek into strangers’ messages (phone and social media).

What else is in the cities

Dengeki Online’s October 11 summary counts cinemas, mahjong parlors, game centers, cat cafes, gyms, restaurants and clothing stores, and notes that it isn’t clear whether every place shown in the trailers and on the official site will be usable. Getting around is covered in ANANTA vehicles.
