What we know

In the ten-minute gameplay video NetEase released for Tokyo Game Show 2025, Lykaia picks up the Captain in a blue convertible during a fight with the Black Metal Crew (1:40) and drives through an expressway shootout, an underpass and a building site. She already knows the Captain from online videos and remarks on the strength she saw there (4:05). Later she asks whether the Captain has ever thought about joining the NCCA (7:27).

At the end she introduces herself, in the subtitles, as Lykaia Reign, Director of the Nova City Crime Agency, and calls the Captain Punt Master (9:43). The official site doesn’t spell out the abbreviation NCCA; these subtitles do.

Our assessment: the same fox-eared woman appears in the 2025 gameplay trailer, in an NCCA garage (2:24) and in a hot tub on a terrace (4:30), and rides with the Captain in a convertible at the start of the 2024 announce trailer (0:01). Pocket Tactics writes that Lykaia used to feature heavily in the Scope section of the official site. Her surname matches Reign Group, Nova City’s largest conglomerate; NetEase hasn’t connected the two.
